Profile
Prior to joining the University of Guelph I studied first year of MSc in Economics and Management program at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague. As a graduate student at the Department of Food, Agriculture and Resource Economics I worked on an economic analysis of the effects of commercialization and implementation of new biotechnology such as soybean peroxidase on related industries including pulp and paper bleaching, waste water treatment, soil remediation, on-site waste destruction, formaldehyde replacement, bread dough conditioner industry and the medical diagnostics industry in Canada. Main part of my research was also focused on investment evaluation of establishing new facility (peroxidase extraction plant located in Ontario) for this biotechnology by using Capital Budgeting techniques and particularly by using Real Options investment analysis.
