Welcome to the University of Guelph Department of Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics home page. The agricultural economics faculty at the University of Guelph has always contributed in important ways to the growth of the University. For 100 Years FARE has been completing new research and providing learning opportunities for international students. The name reflects the three areas of expertise in the department: food economics, agricultural economics and agribusiness, and resource economics.

Grad Student from FARE in the Netherlands...

Jacob Kerkhoff, MSc student in the Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics department, is spending two months at Wageningen University (the Netherlands) through the Erasmus Mundus International Exchange Program.

Congratulations to FARE Agricultural Business Student Nicole Beechey!

Nicole Beechey is one of the team members who tied for first place in the Student Case Competition at the 19th annual Food and Agribusiness World Forum and Symposium (IAMA) held in Budapest, Hungary from June 20-23rd.  Nicole is commencing her M.Sc. in the Dept. of FARE in 2009.
